Sunday morning, working.

Hello Dear Readers

With this blog we intend to keep on the pulse of all things Shindig! related, whether it be rants, raves or news of what's to come. Andy, Richard S Jones, myself and our writers will all offer thoughts and theories for you to mull over, and as in this case, probe your minds for feedback.

Firstly, I'd like to wish you all a Happy New Year from the team, and pray that the current economic climate doesn't effect anyone too badly. We're solidering on, subs are good, the annual is flying out of our warehouse and advertisers are still aware that if they're behind a private pressed native language Christian prog band or a Venezualian beat band from the early '70s then Shindig! is the place to be seen in. As you all know, these kind of releases do exist and its really only people like us that buy them!

We're confident and will hang on in there, but the more advertisers and readers the better. So please spread the word any way you can.

One thing I'd like to guage are your opinions on the magazines we have produced. And what you would like to see in the future:

1) Do we have the right balance of genres and artists?
2) Are the features too long or too short?
3) What have been your favourites, and why?
4) What haven't you been so keen on?
5) Are we missing any sub-genres or bands that would be of interest. ie more on the 50s or further coverage of prog rock.
6) On the new front do you prefer the US power pop band movement, young new bands inspired by psych, garage etc or a mix of both?
7) Would you like to see bigger names like The Raconteurs or Super Fury Animals in the magazine?
8)Does Shindig! related merchandise interest you? i.e T-Shirts.
9)Do you visit the site but don't read the mag?
10) Or do you read the mag, but would like more reviews etc available to view online?

Please email me jon@shindig-magazine.com with any comments or suggestions.
