Le Beat Bespoke 6-
Easter 2010 (1/2/3/4 April)
STEP TO LE FESTIVAL BEAT
Returning for a sixth head turning year, over one long but fashionably hip Easter weekend, Le Beat Bespoke are bringing everyone together for yet another of their ace festival line-ups this April (1st – 4th). All of which will be taking place at the 229 The Venue on Great Portland Street, London.
World renowned for their famous all-nighters and regular live extravaganzas, The New Untouchables have assembled plenty of bang for your buck for this latest instalment with 10 killer acts from across the globe and international guest DJs spinning the best in garage, rockabilly, folk, funk, psych, soul, freakbeat, jazz, and pretty much every combination of the aforesaid genres at least 10 times over. Not to mention the usual New Untouchable touches of go go girls, record fairs, retro market stalls and cult freak cinema.
Heading up the proceedings this year are Irish pop-punk legends and acclaimed John Peel dears The Undertones; a heroes return from legendary US garage stalwarts The Sonics, who last made an appearance at the festival back in 2008; early ’80s British rockabilly revivalists The Polecats, and not forgetting the attractive prospect of catching the finest in new garage do-gooders. Namely IAHT faves Thee Vicars, Spanish garage combo Way Y Los Arrghs!!! and Dirty Water Records’s Thee Exciters.
Essentially, if ever there was a shindig not to miss, this is it.
