A new collab track between Berlin’s THE THIRD SOUND and ANTON NEWCOMBE of Brian Jonestown Massacre, ‘Photographs’ is the closing track of their recently released fourth album All Tomorrow’s Shadows. With Newcombe helming vocal duties, the song is a haunting, gloomy piece of psychedelic post-punk
The Third Sound is the project of Icelandic musician Hákon Aðalsteinsson who used to play in cult Reykjavik rock’n’roll bandits Singapore Sling and currently plays in Brian Jonestown Massacre. Now residing in Berlin with a fleshed-out live line-up, The Third Sound have just released their fourth album All Tomorrow’s Shadows via London label Fuzz Club.
Celebration Of A New Dawn is the Helsinki garage-rockers BLACK LIZARD’s third album, due for release February 23rd on Fuzz Club. The first single, ‘Window In Time’, is an amazing hit of sublime, ’60s-esque psychedelic pop
Talking of the single, the band explain: “’Window In Time’ is a psychedelic pop song about enjoying your life the way it is. Most of their lives people seem to look for things they don’t have and spend their time trying to be like someone else, then there might be a point where you realise that you have everything you need right here and right now.” Read more Black Lizard ‘Window In Time’ ›
Formed in Athens in 2009 the four-piece have two LPs behind them – their debut LP and demo collection Selected Recordings – and after a long, three-year wait they’re back with the new album Lilac Days (buy here) – their first on Fuzz Club Records, officially released September 29th. The album sees ABJ at their best; their scrappy, frenetic garage-rock distilling a hazy, incense-scented mix of ’60s Western psychedelic pop, traditional Eastern folk and the scuzzy rock ’n’ roll sounds of Black Lips or Thee Oh Sees. Check their Facebook page for news of Euro tour.
Earlier in the year, London label Fuzz Club got Seattle R&B trio Night Beats down to an analogue recording studio in South London to record a live album, during a worldwide tour in support of their Heavenly Recordings-released LP Who Sold My Generation. The release is limited to 250 deluxe boxes including 180g clear vinyl, printed dust sleeve, tote bag, sticker and photo booklet and 250 standard copies on 180g black vinyl
