Win a Ronnie Lane Slim Chance T Shirt

The kind folk at Toe Rag T Shirts have given us one Ronnie Lane Slim Chance in honour of issue #50 featuring The Faces on the cover. To win please answer this question: “What should have been the second hit for Ronnie Lane’s Slim Chance but wasn’t due to a BBC cameraman strike hampering the band’s Top Of The Pops appearance?”

Please email win@shindig-magazine.com with “Ronnie Lane” in the title and state whether you would like a small, medium or large T-shirt. Closing date is October 1st.11052036_10152986548111962_5807431856007403790_n

Shindig! on Green Man Radio

Jon and Andy had a lovely time at this year’s Green Man (full review to run in issue #50) and were invited by friend Will Hodgkinson to come onto his “’70s Acid-Folk Hour” show on the festival’s own radio station. (Listen here.) They popped in, philosophised and then headed off out into the temporal sun to enjoy yet another fine Welsh ale. 11900015_10206903973175383_3995401922685020408_n

The Faces “1970” – Cover Stars of Issue #50

We just love The Faces, and we know you do too. They really were the most relaxed, yet feral, band of their era. Mark Raison and Jon ‘Mojo’ Mills met Kenney Jones two weeks back (for the now written) cover story that charts the band’s formation and rapid rise.

Enjoy a live ’70 show recorded at The Marquee and a cool early interview with the band below, alongside information on the forthcoming boxset.
