The Shindig! Revue #3 Band Showcase – Green Seagull

BEN ADLAM introduces GREEN SEAGULL the second act for the third instalment of The Shindig! Revue at The Victoria, Dalston on the 17th August

Named after a misheard Rolling Stones lyric (“No more will my green sea go turn a deeper blue” – bonus points on offer)  GreenSeagull were formed in 2016 when Paul Nelson (New Electric Ride) and Paul Milne (Magnetic Mind) got together and began working on some new music.  A shared enthusiasm for late ’60s baroque psychedelia and West Coast 12-string jangle soon blossomed into a prolific songwriting team. When Lysergics keyboard queen Sarah Gonputh joined along with Elian Dlamasso (Eliphant) a flurry of 8-track demo’s followed and the group were snapped up by Mega Dodo Records.
